Use the eyedropper tool to copy fill and stroke attributes from one shape or line and immediately apply them to another shape or line. The eyedropper tool also lets you sample the image in a bitmap to use as paint. See Painting with a bitmap's image.
When you Shift-click an area with the dropper tool, the sampled fill and stroke attributes are applied to the modifiers for all the drawing tools.
To use the eyedropper tool to copy and apply stroke or fill attributes:
1 | Select the eyedropper tool and click a line or shape. |
When you click a line, the tool automatically changes to the ink bottle tool. When you click a fill, the tool automatically changes to the paint bucket tool and the Lock Fill modifier is turned on. See Using the Lock Fill modifier. | |
2 | Click another line or shape. |
